For instance, I developed Osteopenia, which required me to take daily medication to prevent the progression to Osteoporosis. While it may not lead to life-threatening anaphylaxis like a peanut allergy, the long-term health implications of Coeliac Disease should not be underestimated.

The recent episode of This Morning featured a caller who expressed feeling forced to have a gluten-free Christmas by her mother-in-law. Unfortunately, the response from the host, Vanessa Feltz, demonstrated a lack of understanding and empathy towards individuals with Coeliac Disease. Feltz compared the condition to a fatal peanut allergy, portraying it as an exaggerated concern.
